Splendid Shelf Decoration: Leaves and Berries

Cambridge Imprint is a small paper-making business in Cambridge, England, designing and printing patterned paper. It is known for beautiful colours, joyful illustration and typography, a lively, hand-drawn aesthetic, and meticulous attention to detail.

Using simple hand-stencilled screen-printing to create original designs, Cambridge Imprint employ spot-colour lithography to replicate the studio process in manufacturing the final paper product. The result is a matte paper of unparalleled intensity and clarity of colour.

This very long, extremely splendid, three-dimensional Stars and Angels decoration card measures approximately 1000 mm wide when extended, and 190 mm tall. A band of angels playing musical instruments is wreathed in leaves and berries and sprinkled with gilded stars. The double-sided frieze is folded concertina-wise to make a marvellous free-standing mantelpiece ornament. The decoration is supplied with its own envelope, decorated with leaves and berries, and a central address label. It would make a wonderfully extravagant present for a family abroad, or a particularly special friend, say. It has no message.

Cambridge Imprint cards are of responsibly sourced 300gsm smooth ivory uncoated stock litho printed in hand-mixed colours. On the reverse of the card, there is a tiny Cambridge Imprint mark, and no other fussy labelling.
