Swedish brand Wildlife Garden began with an interest in the natural world, birds, and gardens. These pieces are hand-carved in Manchuria, North-eastern China, where for generations, the region's farmers have carved wood during the cold winter when the land is frozen. Many of the same carvers have worked with Wildlife Garden for a long time. 

The birds are carved in lime wood and painted with water-based acrylic paint. The paint is waterproof and UV-resistant to a certain extent. However, the colours will fade if placed outdoors for an extended period. Large products, such as woodpeckers, consist of glued wood and should therefore not be placed outside, as this risks the joints cracking.
