Like all the finest Steiff Teddies, Elmar is five-way jointed. He's also softly stuffed to make him extra huggable. Elmar has shoe-button-style eyes and is entirely handmade in our very own workshops. He's machine washable and ultra-durable. From the company that invented the Teddy bear in 1902. Steiff deliberately go far beyond the standards required by health and safety law. They use top-quality materials, weaving only the finest natural fibres – such as mohair and alpaca or woven fur made of synthetic fibres, and the highest quality outer material for their plush products, which is extremely soft and durable. All materials used to fill the toys are new and pose absolutely no health risk. Superior seam workmanship is ensured by having a standardised Steiff seam width, as well as a high stitch density. That is why Steiff plush toys are sure to last a lifetime.
