Cherries Birthday Card
1973 are inspired by a love of cool design and typography and guided by an uncompromising stance on originality and quality. Based by the seaside near Brighton, they combine dynamic design with the use of original print techniques and materials.
Sustainability is always at the heart of the company’s ethos and they use recycled or part recycled paper, acid free inks and work only with local businesses on production to support the economy and minimise their carbon footprint.
This is our take on celebrating cherry season. Pack up a picnic and a very special Black Forest Gateaux Birthday cake and maybe a small bottle of Kirsch. A blank inside for all your cherry sweet messages and an extra smile with a fuchsia pink envelope. We use a vintage hot-foil printer to hand-make this Joyful collection in our Brighton Studio. Designed by creative director Emma Emmerson for 1973.
